Nancy Dianne Derry, 69, a longtime resident of Framingham passed away Sunday Nov. 20th after a long period of declining health.  She was the daughter of the late Harold and Ina (Anson) Derry.  Nancy retired from Verizon Co. after working there as a CO Technician for over 30 years. She loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener and deep sea fisherman. She loved animals and was an active supporter of the MSPCA and the Humane Society. She also had a deep passion for reading and music.

Ms. Derry is survived by one sister, Marjorie "Maggie" Byrne and her husband David of Framingham, and one niece, Geena Byrne of Harrisville, RI. She was the sister of the late David Derry and the late Steven Derry of Framingham.

A funeral service will be held Friday December 2nd at 11am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130, The Kindred Spirits memorial program of the Humane Society in Gaithersburg, Md or the Interstitial Cystitis Association 7918 Jones Branch Drive, Suite 300 McLean, VA 22102.
