Ashland - Nanci A. Murphy age 60, longtime resident of Ashland dies Monday March 24, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Framingham, She was the daughter of the late Francis P. Murphy and Rena F. (Ferdenzi) Murphy. Nanci worked in the Business Office at Framingham State University for 34 years, retiring this past August. She was a graduate of Marian High School Class of 1971 and Framingham State University in 2014. She loved traveling, food, and above all, her treasured nieces and nephew. Nanci is survived by two brothers, Peter F Murphy and his wife Denise of Framingham, and Timothy J. Murphy of Balitmore MD, and nieces and nephew, Kevin, Madeline and Abigail Murphy, as well as loving cousins and many devoted friends. She was the sister of the late Brian W. Murphy. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday March 28th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. in Ashland. Burial will be private.
