Obituary

Michelle Kristina Chouinard, 31, of Ashland, formerly of Newton, passed away, Monday, Dec. 15th surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Theresa (Krivicich) Chouinard. Michelle was a 1995 graduate of Ashland High School Class and Boston University Class of 1999. She later received her Masters in Education from BU in 2001. This would have been her tenth year as a devoted Mathematics teacher and tennis coach at Framingham High School. She was a woman who enjoyed traveling, and spending time with friends and family. In addition to her parents she is survived by four brothers: Paul Lentoni and his wife Paula of Ashland; Philip Lentoni and his wife Corinne of Framingham; Kenneth Chouinard Jr. of Belchertown, MA; and Christopher Chouinard and his wife Yun Joo of New York, NY; three sisters: Linda Pfundt of Ashland; Sharon Tinkham of Springfield, NH; and Sandra Costa of Ashland; She was a loving and devoted aunt to her five nieces and nephews: Alexander, Benjamin, and Calissa Lentoni; Emma Lentoni; and Michael Pfundt. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 18th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com) 325 Main St. in Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michelle K. Chouinard Scholarship Fund at Middlesex Saving Bank, 2 West Union St., Ashland, MA 01721.
