Michelle A. Cantin, 62, of Upton, died Friday, April 7, 2006, in Northbridge, after a period of declining health. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Chartier) Cantin, and had lived in Upton since 1997. She was formerly of Hopkinton. A graduate of St. Claire's High School in Woonsocket, R.I., she went on to become a registered nurse and worked at Boston City Hospital, retiring in 1994. She leaves one brother, Marc Cantin of Upton; and one niece, Yvonne Rogers and her husband, Bruce, of Franklin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 11, at 9 a.m., at St. Cecilia's Church, Esty Street, Ashland. There are no calling hours. Instead of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice. The Matarese Funeral Home of Ashland is in charge of her funeral arrangements.
