Michael J. Breslin, 67, of Ashland, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Rebeca (Gurierrez) Breslin. Born in Brattleboro, Vt., the son of the late Ronald Breslin and Bernice (Clemons) Johnson of Hiram, Maine, he was employed by Raytheon Co. for 42 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of St. Cecilia Parish, Ashland, the Knights of Columbus Bishop Rice Counsel in Ashland, where he was past grand knight, and presently deputy grand knight. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves two sons, Stephen Breslin and his wife, Heather, of Ludlow and Michael Breslin and his wife, Maggie, of Midland, Ontario; two stepchildren, Frances Vincent and her husband, Troy, of Dartmouth and Morris H. Clemons of Ashland; a sister, Lois Cucco of Standish, Maine; two brothers, Delmar and Ronald Breslin, both of Hiram; and 15 grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m., at St. Cecilia Church, Esty Street, Ashland. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours are Sunday, Nov. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland.
