Maurice G. LaVault, 98, of Ashland, passed away April 12, 2014. He was the husband of 50 years to the late Miriam (Bock) LaVault. Born in Tiverton, RI and raised in Fall River, he was the son of the late Roch and Adelina (Marcoux) LaVault. He was a graduate of Durfee High School in Fall River and of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. After his schooling he enlisted in the US Army Air Corp and was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He retired in 1979 from Raytheon Co. after 24 years of employment as a mechanical engineer. He was a former member of the Natick Lions Club. He leaves five nieces and three nephews. A graveside service will take place Friday May 30th at 11:00am in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland.
