Maureen E. (McGovern) Tegelaar, 71, of Amesbury, MA passed away Saturday, Dec. 1st. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (Cummins) McGovern. She worked as an accountant for many years at Gotts Music in South Yarmouth, MA. Maureen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Tegelaar of Amesbury, MA; her daughter, Donna Dube and her husband David of North Grafton, MA; her son, James Tegelaar and his wife Holly of Arlington, MA; her granddaughter, Carina Tegelaar of Arlington MA; her sister Eileen Oelerich and her husband, Edward of Bradford, MA; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 7th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will also be held Friday, Dec. 7th from 12:00-2:00 prior to the service.
