ASHLAND -- Maureen Elizabeth Murphy, 58, of Ashland, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at her home. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Helena (MacDonald) Murphy and the late William E Murphy. A resident of Ashland for 55 years, she was a school teacher at the Henry E. Warren School in Ashland for 31 years. Ms. Murphy graduated from Framingham State Teachers College and later received her master's degree in teaching from LaSalle College in Cambridge. Besides her mother, she leaves one brother, William E. Murphy, and a sister, Patricia H. Murphy, both of Ashland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 2, at 9 a.m., at St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
