Mary L. Wigglesworth, 89 of Hopkinton passed away Tue. Dec. 18th after a period of declining health. Born and raised in Natick, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Cadigan) Comerford and wife of the late Richard Wigglesworth who died in 1992. A resident of Ashland for over 30 years, Mary moved to Hopkinton in 1996 to be closer to family. She worked for many years as a nurse's aid retiring from St. Patrick's Manor in 1993 after 20 years of service. Mary loved to read, crochet and spend time with family and friends. She was a true homebody.
She is survived by six children; Joan Johnson and her husband Stephen of Hopkinton; Judy Camille-Moylan and her husband Matt of Marlboro; the late Joy Tomasz and her husband James of Ashland; Michael Wigglesworth and his wife Susan of Framingham; Richard Wigglesworth and his wife Nancy of
Hopkinton; and Brian Wigglesworth and his partner Christa McQueeney of Foxborough; stepdaughter Jean Reimer, 18 grandchildren; Mark Weir, Amy Garden, Stephen Johnson Jr, Melissa (Camille) Cranney, Matthew Moylan, Quinn Moylan, the late Jamie Tomasz, Anthony Tomasz, Elizabeth Tomasz, Lea Wigglesworth, Ricci Lyn Orme, Kerry Kwasek, John Kwasek, Dr. Christina Sellers, Nicole Wiggleworth and Andrea Mulcahy, Ricky Reimer, and Amber Reimer both of Uxbridge. Mary was always happy talking about her great-grandchildren; her sister, the late beloved Pauline Hilyard, dear friends including Robert Weir of Framingham, Anita Cram of Middlebury VT, and her two very special cousins Patsy Villa and Lillian Gould both of Framingham; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family that meant so much to her.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday Dec. 28th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with urn burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
