Mary B. (Nicolas) Squillace, 87, of Ashland, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 22nd at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rose (Ratta) Nicolas. She was the beloved wife of Frank Squillace Jr. for 66 years. Mrs. Squillace is survived by three children; Marie Champagne, Roseann Massauro and her husband Mike; and Benjamin Squillace; all of Ashland; four grandchildren; Tina Lynch and her husband Randy of Bellingham; Joe Champagne and his wife Denise of Hopkinton; Michael Massauro and his wife Lisa of Ashland; and Frank Massauro and his wife Renee' of Ashland; and seven precious great-grandchildren; RJ, Patrick, and Katie Lynch; Nicolas, Dominic, Anthony, and Danielle Massauro. She was the sister of the late Sam Nicolas and Francis Castano, and mother-in-law of Joseph Champagne who died in 2003. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 25th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Friday from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
