Mary Jane Mathieu, 69, resident of Ashland passed away Tue. Sept 5th after years of declining health.  She was the daughter of the late John Capstick and Claire (Savino) Capstick.

Mary Jane is survived by her son, Christopher Mathieu and daughter in-law Katherine Iverson of Ashland and her son, Shaun Mathieu, also of Ashland, MA.  In addition, she is survived by two loving grandchildren, Grace and Stephen, who were the center of her world.

Mary Jane leaves behind one brother, Patrick Capstick of Milford, MA and three sisters, Catherine Barbieri of Oklahoma, Veronica Dalton of Norwood, MA, and Sue Ellen Capstick of Florida.  Mary Jane was predeceased by her oldest brother, John Capstick of Framingham, MA.

Mary Jane worked as a medical secretary at Framingham Union Hospital for many years.  She took pride in the lifelong friendships she developed with many of her co-workers.

Mary Jane enjoyed any time she spent with family and friends. She loved vacationing at the beach in Maine, large family meals, and having a German shepherd by her side.  She will be dearly missed by all those lucky enough to have known her.

A graveside service will be held Tue. Sept. 12th at 10:00am in St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Winthrop St. Framingham, MA.  Visiting hours will be held Monday Sept. 11th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
