Mary G. Fernandes, 76 of Martha's Vineyard formerly of Ashland passed away Saturday Dec. 11, 2021.  Born in Madeira, Portugal; Mary was the wife of Fernando Fernandes for 54 years.  Mary was the owner of several Dunkin Donuts franchises in the Framingham and Needham area.  She recently enjoyed winters in her native Portugal and spending her summers on Martha's Vineyard.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Laura J. Thomas and her husband Albert of Ashland, and Alice M Fernandes of Framingham, two grandchildren, Gabriella and Albert Thomas, brother, Clemente Marujo of Medford, step brothers, John, Mike, and David Marujo, and step-sisters, Theresa, Linda, and Debbie Marujo, all of Somerville.

A funeral service will be held Thursday Dec. 16 ^th at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Framingham.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 3:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
