Mary K. Cunningham of Medford, Massachusetts passed away Wednesday, February 8th after a long illness. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts on October 7, 1925, Mary was the daughter of James A. Cunningham and Ethel (Mitchell) Cunningham and is predeceased by her brother, James W. Cunningham of Framingham, and sister, Janet E. MacComb, of New Bern, North Carolina. A graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Brighton, Massachusetts, Mary was a proofreader who specialized in reading and editing bills created by the Massachusetts legislature. Her passion was traveling, visiting many countries in six of the seven continents. Exploring Macchu Pichu and the ancient monuments of Egypt were the highlights of her adventures. Mary leaves two nephews, Robert A. Cunningham of Rising Sun, Indiana; and Richard M. Cunningham of Hopkinton, Massachusetts as well as seven great nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 9th at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. One calling hour will be held Thursday from 9:00-10:00am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Framingham Heart Study, 73 Mt. Wayte Ave., Framingham, MA 01702
