Mary C. (Mckenna) Capistran, 84, of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, June 27th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was the beloved wife of Jean Paul Capistran. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Winifred (Ford) Mckenna Sr and sister to Eileen Corrado and her husband, Earnest, of NH; Joyce Mckenna of Medway, the late Leo F. Mckenna Jr. and his wife Doris; and the late John Mckenna. Mary was a devoted mother to Anne-Marie Capobianco and her husband Paul of Ashland; Paul Capistran and his wife Laura of Northbridge; Therese Capistran of Nantucket; Mark Capistran and his wife Nancy of Ashland; Denise Parmenter and her husband Glenn of Ashby; and Bob Capistran of Ashland. Mary was also adored and will be missed by her 10 grandchildren; Michael and Katrina Capobianco, Ryan and Nicole Capistran, Andrew and Jennifer Capistran, Kelsey and Kyle Parmenter, Colin and Cadey Capistran and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a graduate of Marian high School and worked as a secretary at Dennison Co. before getting married. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 2nd at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
