Mary "Betty" E. Bradley of Framingham passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 20th at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge surrounded by her family. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Roy "Ted" and Elizabeth (Shea) Corbin. A lifelong resident of Framingham, Betty retired from St. Patrick's Manor after 23 years as a nurses aid and continued to volunteer for another 15 years. She was a member of the Framingham Elks Emblem Club for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, spending time with friends, and most of all spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her hearts delight and often referred to her as their best friend; their hero.
In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 41 years, Richard Bradley, her brother, Richard Corbin, her sisters, Catherine Smith, Helen Corbin, and Beverlee Bergeron. She is survived by her brother Roy "Ted" Corbin of Fl; her sons; Richard "Kevin" Bradley of Buckfield, ME ; Stephen Bradley of Ashland; and her daughters; Helen Daugherty and her husband Mike of Whitinsville, MA; Kathleen Rosebush of Lisbon, NH; Cindy Leach and her husband Rob of Uxbridge; and Donna Hoyt and her husband Stuart of Whitinsville; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, please enter Maine Chapter on the check memo line.
