Martin L. Shaughnessy Jr. 75 of Framingham, passed away Friday December 21st in Boston after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Jennings) Shaughnessy. Born in Framingham he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Anderson) Shaughnessy. In addition to Framingham he had lived in California & Oregon. Before his retirement he had worked at Cushing Hospital and Quality Cleaners in Framingham, MA. He was an artist and photographer who loved to take vacations with his family. Mr. Shaughnessy was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving his country with the United States Navy. He is survived by one daughter, Debra (Henderson) Houle and her husband Roland of Ashland; three grandchildren, Brent & Kelsey Vreeland, and Sam Houle; one sister, Edith Savage of Millis; a brother, Ronald Shaughnessy of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ruth Snellman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12th 2008 in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland at 11:00 AM.
