Obituary

Martha J. Peacock, 79, of Ashland, MA died on April 6, 2011. Born in Boston, MA on Jan. 14, 1932, she graduated from Framingham High School in 1950 and Framingham State College in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in education. She worked at Data General Corporation in telecommunications and retired from Deluxe Checking in Framingham, MA in 1993. She enjoyed the theater, dancing, cake decorating, crafting, and participated in a variety of local volunteer activities. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. She was the loving mother of Deborah Peck and husband Douglas of Southborough, MA, Raymond Peacock and wife Phyllis of Mashpee, MA, Bruce Peacock and wife Jacqueline of Marlboro, MA, Barry Peacock and wife Patricia of Livermore, Maine. She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Cleaves and husband James, and Edie Macchi and husband John, as well as two brothers, Frederick Buck, and Leo Buck and wife Nancy. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Peacock, daughter of the late Frederick Buck and Hilda (Nelson) Buck, and sister to the late Elsie Mercury and Jean McGilvary. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9th at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Rural Cemetery in Southborough. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011
