Marion A. Fortier, 89, of Ashland passed away Thursday April 23rd. She was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Desmond) Pleshaw. Marion was the wife of the late Louis Palmieri who died in 1983 and was later married to the late Leo Fortier who died in 1999. A resident of Ashland for 60 years, she served as the treasurer of Lakeside Garage in Framingham for many years. She was a member of the Silver Greys Ballroom Dancing Club, Fairs and Squares Dancing Club, and the Theta Phi Delta Woman's Group of the Federated Church of Ashland. She is survived by three children; Lynn VanBeek and her husband Jim of Ashland; Sandra Moran of Ashland; and Robert Palmieri of Ashland; six grandchildren; Kris, Kevin, and Adam VanBeek, Dean Moran, and Keith and Carly Palmieri; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Marjorie (Pleshaw) DeCenzo, Eva (Pleshaw) Cardiff, Muriel (Pleshaw) Steele, and William, Paul, and Donald Pleshaw. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 28th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00-11:00am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607
