Marie Marguerite Young

June 23, 1934 - May 27, 2026

Marie M. Young, 91, a lifelong  resident of Framingham passed away peacefully on the morning of May 27th. She was the wife of the late Carroll M. Young for 65 years and the daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes (Torelli) Piccinini.

Marie was born and raised in Framingham and lived in the same family home for all of her 91 years. Home and family were important to her. Much of her life was centered around the family home on Hollis Street where family or neighbors gathered to share in activities, special moments, celebrations, meals or just to visit for a bit and chat. One of the pastimes she enjoyed was reading, especially in her favorite spot, on the front porch. She also loved getting together with her friends which she called "the girls". Together they supported each other through good times and bad. She especially looked forward to their special Christmas tradition where each person created a hand-made Christmas ornament to share with the rest of the group. She saved each one of these precious mementos. She outlived all but one of her friends and missed the special camaraderie they had shared.

Marie worked for the noon lunch program in the Framingham schools for over 25 years. She loved working around children and would always say they helped to keep her young.

Marie is survived by her four children: Doris A. Chiero of Framingham; Donna M. Burdick and her husband Merritt of Drury, MA; David M. Young and his wife Debra of Framingham; and Dennis M. Young of Framingham; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
