Marie Rose Gioconda, 86 of Ashland passed away Mon Dec. 13 ^th at her home surrounded by her family.  Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Perillo) Jichetti.  She was the wife of Nicholas Gioconda who died in 1994.  Marie worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Fabric Place in Framingham until her retirement in the early 1990's.  A resident of Ashland since 1976, she enjoyed playing Bingo in the Metrowest area and was an expert in knitting and crocheting.

Mrs. Gioconda is survived by her loving children; Louis Gioconda and his wife Roxanne of Framingham, Joseph Gioconda and his wife Mary of Rutland, MA, Carmella Comerato and her husband David of Framingham, and Nicholas Gioconda Jr and his wife Chrissy of Pittsboro, IN, nine grandchildren, Dayna, Louie, Ashley, Bram, Nick, Lauren, Daniella, Vincent, and Carmine, and five great-grandchildren, Bianca, Brooklynn, Maverick, Addison, and Remington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday Dec. 18 ^th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Parish, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland.  In lieu of flowers donations in Marie's name may be made to the Metrowest Cancer Care Center, 99 Lincoln St. Framingham, MA  01702
