Maria F. Chaves died Wednesday June 15, 2016, at St. Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville. She was 72.

A native of Santa Maria, Azores, she worked for Polaroid Corp for many years as a Quality Assurance Technician. She lived at her younger sister's and brother-in-law's home with their family in Hopkinton for 7 years and was at St. Camillus for 4 years with her illness. She loved visiting family and friends.

She is survived by 2 sisters and one brother, Maria Santos of Hopkinton, Ines Sousa of Arlington, and Jose Chaves of Falmouth. She leaves 4 nephews; Adrian and Jason Santos of Hopkinton, and Robert and Eric Chaves, and 3 nieces, Linda and Michelle Sousa, and Cindy Chaves, and one great nephew, Adrian Anthony Santos Jr. of Hopkinton.
