Margaret (Champagne) O'Coin, 88, longtime resident of Ashland passed away Saturday April 6, 2024.  Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret (Gentilotti) Champagne.  Peggy was the wife of the late Ralph O'Coin who died in 2019.  She was a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Phlebotomy and later worked for Middlesex News in the advertising department and as a secretary for Foreign Car Service in Marlborough.  Peggy enjoyed vacationing in Bar Harbor, ME and Aruba and was skilled in knitting, quilting, and rug braiding.  She was an avid baker whose Christmas cookies will be missed by many friends and neighbors.

Mrs. O'Coin is survived by four children; Richard Belliveau Jr and his wife Cindy of California; David Belliveau and his wife Nancy of Mendon; James Belliveau and his wife Kim of Maine; and Noelle Bogan and her husband Jeffrey of Warwick; three step-children; Paul O'Coin and his wife Dawn of Marlborough; James O'Coin and his wife Carrie of Marlborough; and Kristen Dillon and her husband Steven of Worcester; eleven grandchildren; Danielle, John, Zachary, Michaela, Taylor, Tyler, Julie, Amanda, Adam, Leah, and Nicholas, and seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Rhea, Millie, Mason, Amelia, Savannah and Noah, as well as her close friend and caretaker, Mirnaly Rivera (Meme). She also leaves her long time close friends Ruby and Mary. She was predeceased by her brother David Champagne who passed away in 2022.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday April 11th at 11:00am in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham, MA.  One visiting hour will be held Thursday from 9:00-10:30am prior to the funeral mass at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
