Margaret E. (Barber) Braman , 87, of Framingham, formerly of Dalton, Massachussetts; died on February14 at Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham. Born in New York City and raised in Hartford, Connecticut; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Johanna Barber. She was the wife of the late William Braman, who died in 1982. They were married 45 years. A resident of Framingham for the past five years, Mrs. Braman also lived in the greater Hartford area and St. Simon's Island, Georgia. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to play the piano, knit, sew, and cook for her family and friends. She was a long time member of the United Church of Christ in Dalton, MA and Windsor, CT. She is survived by four children: Howard Braman and his wife Rosemarie of Ormond Beach, Florida; Walter Braman and his wife Catherine of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Anne Rivers and her husband Robert of Ashland; Katherine Braman of Newton, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren: Winston, Frank, and Benjamin Braman, Amie O'Donoghue, Sara McCowan, and William and Susan Rivers; and eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Natalie and Diana Aharonian. She was predeceased by her brother Hans Barber and her grandson Matthew Braman. A private memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will take place in New London, Connecticut, at the convenience of the family.
