Marcello F. Mallegni Sr. SOUTHBOROUGH Marcello Fausto Mallegni Sr., 83, of Southborough, formerly of Framingham, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008, at his home in Southborough. Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Pedro and Rosa Mallegni, and husband of the late Lea (Poli) Mallegni, who passed away in 2002. Mr. Mallegni was a pioneer in the marble importation business, and immigrated to the United States in the early 1960s to train local marble workers with the technical knowledge obtained in Italy. He is survived by two sons, Marcello Mallegni Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Southborough; and Dante Mallegni and his wife, Carol, of Southborough; and four grandchildren, Marcello, Lea, Ariana and Alanna. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, at 11:30 a.m., in St. Tarcisius Church, Framingham, with burial to follow in Rural Cemetery in Southborough.
