Malcolm W. Harrington, 70, of Ashland, passed away, Monday, March 8th, in Sudbury. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late George and Evelyn (Wilson) Harrington and husband to Marie (Newhall) Harrington. They were married 44 years. A graduate of Framingham High School Class of 1958, Mr. Harrington owned and operated Harrington Construction and later Preferred Interior Contractors. He was also a member of the Algonquin Club of Boston, a member of A.A.O.N.M.S (Shriners), and a former member of the North Star Masons, and former president of the Drywall Association of Massachusetts. Malcolm served his country honorably with the Army Reserve during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Linda Marie Harrington of Clearwater Beach, FL; and Laurie Ewing and her husband Donald of Tobyhanna, PA; one grandson, Joseph Ewing; one brother, George Harrington Jr. of Shrewsbury, MA; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
