Maida Juanita Tompkins, 93, of Hopkinton passed away Sunday Jan. 19th at Kindred Transitional Care in Westborough. Born in Easton, ME; she was the daughter of the late David and Susan (Greene) Kinney and wife of the late James Tompkins who died in 1989. A longtime resident of Hopkinton, Maida was a former employee of the Framingham Co-Op Super Market and member of the VFW Ladies Aux. in Ashland. She is survived by three daughters; Maida Boudreau of Warren, MA; Jacqueline Kemmett of Port St. Lucie, FL; and Norma Bennett of Melbourne Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday Jan. 23rd at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Hopkinton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
