Lydia (Harper) Tegelaar, 95, of Braintree formerly of South Yarmouth and Ashland passed away Saturday Dec. 21st. Lydia was a resident of Ashland until moving to South Yarmouth in 1968. She worked as a clerical secretary in the Ashland Town Hall in the early 1960's and later worked as a payroll clerk with Commonwealth Electric. She was an active member of the South Yarmouth Conservation Commission. Mrs. Tegelaar is survived by four children; Joe Tegelaar of Cocoa, FL; Robert Tegelaar and his wife Maureen of Haverhill, MA; Lydia Carlson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and David Tegelaar of Shrewsbury; seven grandchildren; Andrew, Alex, Susan, and Jim Tegelaar, David and Christine Carlson, and Donna Dube`, and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 26th at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 11:00-1:00 prior to the service.
