Rita "Louise" Ghilani, 78, of Hinsdale, NH, formerly of Ashland, MA, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

Born in Framingham, MA she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rita (Long) Demarini. She was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1956 and studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was a former bookkeeper.

Louise was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling. She loved bird watching, visiting lighthouses and spending time with her family.

Louise is survived by her children, Linda Ghilani and fiancé Doug Savidge, Debra Dreyer and husband Ross, Lisa Acheson and husband Bill, Michael Ghilani and wife Kim, and Terri Angeli and husband Bob; grandchildren Elizabeth, Celia, Kyle, Sophia and Brady; her sister Carol Wolfe and husband Fred; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the former wife of Rick Ghilani.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA on August 27, 2016 at 11 AM.
