Lois Mae Bennett, 76, of Ashland passed away Thursday Jan. 24 ^th at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY; the daughter of the late Irving and Sylvia (Seidenberg) Better she was the wife of the late Stanley Bennett who died in 2013. Lois worked as an elementary school teacher for many years before moving to Ashland. She was active in the Ashland Community as a past president of the Ashland Garden Club and helped organize the creation of the Ashland Farmers Market.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by three children; Steven Reznick and his wife Lydia of Portland, OR; Jodie Poresky and her husband Phil of Wellesley, MA; and Mitch Reznick and his wife Diana of London, England; six grandchildren; Miriam, Jacob, Josh, Nate, Lila, and Anna; and two brothers; Ken Better of Columbia, MD; and Rich Better of Frederick, MD.
