Linda A. (Rooney) Fawkes, 55, of Ashland, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at home. She was the wife of Gregory G. Fawkes for 37 years. Born in Brighton, she had lived in Ashland since 1990, and was the daughter of Priscilla Elden of Hendersonville, N.C. Besides her husband and mother, she leaves a son, Gregory Fawkes and his wife, Adrienne, of Ashland; two daughters, Lisa Fawkes of Ashland and Carrie Gove and her husband, Thomas, of Ashland; five sisters, Pam Traverse of Saugus, Donna Randall of Hendersonville, N.C., Jannie Caulfield of Brookline, Karen Ross of Foxboro and Margie Rooney of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Ted Rooney of Lynn; and three grandchildren, Gregory and Adrianna Fawkes and Arianna Gove. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, June 27, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland. Calling hours are Monday, June 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
