Linda Jean (Hansen) Duffy, of Ashland, born June 14, 1943 in Needham passed on January 4, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), friend, and everyones' favorite aunt. Beloved wife of James Duffy for over 48 wonderful years. Daughter of the late John Arthur and Rachel Hansen. Linda leaves behind her children: James, Kristen, and Christopher, her brother Steve Hansen, her grandchildren: Brandon, Adriana, Caitlyn, and Ella, her daughter-in-laws Debra and Susan, her dear friend MaryEllen Kirkpatrick, and all who loved her. Linda was a resident of Ashland for over 45 years. She was a RN at Framingham Union Hospital for over 30 years and also with the Visiting Nurse Association towards the latter part of her career. Linda was an avid quilter, wrapping many friends and family members in love with her beautiful creations. Although scared of heights, Linda braved the chairlifts and enjoyed skiing with family. She was a fierce line dancer, never letting her illnesses or ailments slow her down. A true fighter till the end and the toughest lady ever to grace many of our lives. She lived for family, especially her grandchildren and treasured them dearly. Linda truly blessed everyone she touched with her bright smile, kind words, and endless love.
