Obituary

FRAMINGHAM - Lillian Frances (Martin) Biuso, 92, of Framingham, died peacefully on March 10, 2010 at Kathleen Daniel Nursing and Rehab Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Aurelio Raymond Biuso, who predeceased her in May 2008, and the mother of Anthony Biuso and Arlene Biuso, who both predeceased her in 1972. Lillian is survived by her daughter Anne L. Giombetti and son-in-law Robert of Ashland; granddaughter Diane Giombetti Clue and her husband Kevin of Upton; granddaughter Christine Shepherd and her husband David of Mendon; granddaughter MaryEllen Giombetti and her husband Daniel Glickman of Framingham; great-granddaughters Vanessa and Allison Shepherd; great-grandson Domenic Clue; brother Henry Martin of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Framingham on December 29, 1917, Lillian was the daughter of Francisco Cabral Martin and Annie (Sousa) Martin and was the youngest of their 11 children. A lifelong resident of Framingham, Lillian graduated from Framingham High School in 1935 and went to work at the Dennison Manufacturing Company. In 1958, after raising her family, she began what would be a 32-year career in the bookkeeping department at J.C. Penney. She was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church. Throughout her 92 years, Lillian's family was the center of her life. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook. Her kitchen was the scene of many delicious meals, happy announcements, and holiday celebrations. Through the years with her husband Aurelio, Lillian enjoyed ballroom dancing at the Totem Pole, Moseley's On the Charles, and Indian Meadows. They also traveled widely in the U.S. and abroad with family and friends. One of Lillian's most memorable trips was to the passion play in Oberammergau, Germany. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lillian's life at 10am on Saturday, March 13 at St. Stephen's Church, 221 Concord Street in Framingham. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours are 4-7pm on Friday, March 12 at Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lillian's memory may be made to the Natick, MA chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
