Obituary

Lee Jay Leeland, 73, died Sunday, February 4, 2007. Mr. Leeland is survived by his wife Katherine Smith Leeland. They had been married for 51 years. Mr. Leeland was born in Pottsville, PA and had lived in Framingham for 48 years. He was the son of the late Howard and Marie (Bickert) Leeland. Mr. Leeland was the owner of Lee Paper Sales for 33 years. He was a dedicated member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Natick and the Callahan Center in Framingham. Lee served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Besides his wife Mr. Leeland leaves his daughter Debra Leeland Bianco and her husband Anthony of Framingham; his son, Lee J. Leeland, Jr. of Bellingham; three granddaughters Jessica and Patricia Bianco of Framingham and Amanda Leeland of Bellingham. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 7th at 11:00 AM in the Christ Lutheran Church, 113 Union Street in Natick. A private burial service will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans' Cemetery in Winchendon on Thursday. Calling hours will be held Tuesday February 6th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com), 325 Main Street in Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Leeland's memory may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church, 113 Union Street, Natick, MA 01760.
