Lake and Eleanor Postell Ashland, MA Eleanor Marie Postell, 89, of Ashland, passed away, July 18, 2008; after a long illness at the Carlyle House in Framingham. Born in Everett, MA; Eleanor worked as the head cashier at the Registry of Motor Vehicles for many years and enjoyed music, laughter, and animals. Lake was by her side everyday tending to her needs and volunteering in helping the other residents. After Eleanor'passing, Lake Eugene Postell moved to New York to be closer to his children. Lake celebrated his 92nd birthday with his family, but shortly after, passed away on Feb. 26, 2010 at the Kittay House in Bronx, NY. Born in North Carolina, Lake worked as a field engineer and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and knowledge. He served his country honorably as a Chief Petty Officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger during WWII. They are survived by three children, Maria, James, and Lake Jr. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11:30am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
