Kevin F.
Driscoll
Sep 7, 1952 — May 25, 2017
Kevin Driscoll of Ashland passed away May 25, 2017 after a long battle with diabetes. He was the son of the late Raymond and Virginia (Schneider) Driscoll. He was born and grew up in Ashland and graduated from AHS in 1970. He played both basketball and baseball and in 1970 was picked as the Class C high school shortstop. He played more than 25 years in the Framingham slo-pitch softball league, and bowled for 30 years. Kevin loved all sports, especially baseball and the Red Sox. His biggest joy in life was watching his daughters as dancers and cheerleaders, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved spending time on the Cape, first in Eastham then Dennisport
and loved taking cruises with family and friends.
Kevin leaves behind his daughters, Jenni Driscoll of Medway and Laura Pettis of Bellingham, his grandson and best buddy, Justin Kent, and his granddaughter and best little girl, Kaelyn Pettis both of Bellingham. He also leaves his brother, Ray and his wife Sally, and his niece Kelsey and nephew Tim, all of Framingham. Kevin leaves behind his best friend of almost 60 years, Carl Hakansson of Hopkinton/Ashland.
He was predeceased by his sister Jane, who died in 1976.
Kevin would like to leave a message to all young diabetics, "Please take care of yourself. Do what you should to stay healthy. Treat yourself once in a while, but not too often. Believe you can do anything you want!"
