Kathryn (Hicks) Lill, 67, of York, ME former longtime resident of Ashland, MA passed away unexpectedly Sun. Aug. 13, 2023.  Born in Framingham, she is the daughter of Eileen Hicks and the late Charles Hicks.  Kathryn was the loving wife of Francis P. Lill for 47 years.  A graduate of Framingham South High School and the Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing, Kathryn worked as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room and was the Director of Surgical Services at Metrowest Medical Center for many years.  She was an avid gardener, loved reading and traveling. She was also a member of the Ashland VFW Ladies Aux.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Carrie Lill and her husband Saul Escobar of Ashland, MA and Timothy Lill of Ashland, MA, her niece Ryan McGreal of Hopkinton, MA who she raised as her own, and two brothers, Kenneth Hicks of York, ME, and Joseph Hicks of Milford, MA.  She was the sister of the late Sandra Edgerly of Somersworth, NH.  She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
