Kathryn B. (Schauer) Dempsey 84 of Ashland, MA passed away September 9th at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Dayton, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Iva (Grawall) Schauer and she had lived in Ashland for over 50 years. She was a veteran of WWII serving with the United States Navy Seaman 2nd Class. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching them on TV. She also was a weather watcher reporting conditions to other weather people. She is survived by her four daughters; Anne G. Lynde of Bellvue,Washington, Susan W.Minana of Enola, PA., Kathy L. King and her husband Jack of Ashland, and Judy Shepard and her husband Joseph of Framingham; six grandchildren, Melissa, John, Jillian, Jena, Alexis and Kristin. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main Street, Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
