Kathleen "Kay" P Porcella, 76, of Ashland, passed away, Wed. March 11th at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester surrounded by her children. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (McCarthy) O'Neil and wife of the late William Porcella, who died in 2006. Kathleen was a resident of Ashland for over 40 years and worked for the Ashland News Store for many years. Mrs. Porcella leaves four children; Kathy Lohnes and her husband Phil of Boylston, Billy Porcella of Ashland, Kevin Porcella and his wife Kristie of Hudson, and Brian Porcella and his fiancé Sue DiMaria of Boylston; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, and Kyra Lohnes, Nicholas and Christopher Porcella, Faith and Kevin Porcella, Jr. and Brian D. Porcella. She was sister to the late John O'Neil and Geraldine Swim. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 16th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com) 325 Main St. in Ashland.
