Obituary

Kathleen Mary Eagan, 48, of Ashland passed away Sunday, July 8th at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Thomas R. and Barbara (Annesi) Eagan. Kathy was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 1981 and a 1985 graduate of Assumption College. She would later receive an Associates Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Central New England College. She was employed as an Applications Support Manager with Conservation Group Services of Westborough. Kathy was a great lover of New England Sports and a dedicated volunteer in Theo and Paul Epstein's "Foundation to Be Named Later". She traveled frequently overseas for work, living at times in England and Australia. She loved bicycling, the outdoors, travel, good food and fine wine, and spending time with her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers; Thomas Eagan and his wife Denise of Peabody; Timothy Eagan and his partner Brian Salvaggio of Quincy; one sister; Gabrielle Porciello and her husband Eugene of Mendon; four nephews; Thomas J. and Timothy F. Eagan; and Evan A. and Ethan F. Porciello; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Kathy also leaves her boyfriend Christopher Johnson of Ashland, and dear friends Meg Mitchell and Bob Veno. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 13th at 10:00am in St. Matthew's Parish, 105 Southville Road in Southborough with burial to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
