Obituary

Karren Holly Fleet, 62, of Ashland, drifted peacefully away on January 9th, 2024, with her loving, devoted family by her side. Karren bravely fought her battle against breast cancer with the same ferocity and determination in which she faced her life. Her strength will always remain an inspiration to all that loved her.

Karren was born in Framingham on Christmas Eve in 1961 to her late parents, Katherine and Donald Taylor. A Christmas Eve baby, she spent her life embracing the spirit of Christmas- always finding chances to bring the people she loved together, share food and stories, and of course to take all the pictures and videos.

For over 45 years, Karren was the loyal and devoted wife to Richard Fleet of Ashland, her childhood sweetheart and one true love. Together they fulfilled their lifelong dreams of creating a warm and welcoming home, raising four beautiful children, and building and running their own family business, Crystal Sprinklers. Karren loved becoming a "Nana" and was known for always loving fiercely and unconditionally. Her passion and dedication will be carried on by all who loved her.

Karren is survived by her husband and soulmate, Richard Fleet of Ashland, her daughter Melanie Fleet and husband James Thompson of Newton, her daughter Michelle Johnson and husband Jonathan Johnson of Milford, her son Richard Fleet, Jr. of Ashland, her sisters Linda Taylor of Framingham and Catherine Perry of Swampscott, as well as four grandchildren, Riley, Emma, Jonathan Jr., and London, and many nephews, nieces and extended family.

Karren was predeceased by her first-born son, David Joshua Fleet, almost twenty years ago. Through her tireless advocacy, Karren kept Dave's memory vibrant for all who knew him. Davey, we know she joins you in Heaven- Please, take care of mom for us.
