Karla F. Ghilani, 62, of Framingham, formerly of Ashland, passed away January 18th in Framingham after a long illness. Born in Framingham, the daughter of Carlo and C. Millicent (Fondellanova) Ghilani, Karla was a lifelong resident of Ashland. She was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1965. For over 20 years she was employed with Marconi's Restaurant in Ashland. She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Haviland and her husband Timothy of Northbridge; one sister, Beverly Drisdell of Fort Meyers, FL; one brother, Gary Ghilani and his wife Rita of Ashland; one grandson, Patrick Haviland; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning, January 22, at 10 AM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM in the funeral home.
