Joseph M. "Jay" Terrio, Jr., 56, of Tatamy, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at his home. Born February 21,1958 in Natick, MA, he was a son of Jennie Tocci Terrio, of Framingham, MA, and the late Joseph M. Terrio, Sr. He and his wife, the former Donna M. Bohn, celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on October 1, 2014. Jay was a chef at the Northampton County Courthouse and also was a self-employed caterer. He was a 1976 graduate of Framingham High School and received an associate's degree from Johnson and Wales University. Jay enjoyed golfing and playing pool. He was a member of Brown & Lynch American Legion Post 9 and The Club at Morgan Hill. Surviving in addition to his wife, Donna and mother, Jennie, is a son, Joseph M. "Joe" Terrio III, of Tatamy; a daughter, Jenna Schnare and her husband Harris, of Holliston, MA; three sisters, Christine Reilly of Colorado, Suzanne Bolivar, of Wayland, MA and Lynn Terrio, of Framingham, MA; and a grandson, Joseph M. "Joey" Terrio IV. A memorial service will be on Saturday, December 6th in the chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland at 4pm. Calling hours will also be held on Saturday from 1pm to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
