Josephine (Ceccaroni) Pimentel, 96, longtime resident of Ashland passed away Wednesday Aug. 19th with her family by her side. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Desolina (Bianchi) Ceccaroni and wife of the late William Russell Pimentel who died in 1997. A graduate of Framingham High School, Josephine was a longtime employee of Sharon Bolt & Screw – later Sharon Fasteners. She enjoyed supporting her community as a founding member of the Greater Ashland Lions Club, a member of the Ashland VFW Auxiliary Post 2331 and Ashland Senior Center, and longtime parishioner at St. Cecilia’s Church in Ashland.

Josephine is survived by her four children, William Pimentel of Ashland, Russell Pimentel and his wife Helen of Northbridge, Deborah Torrey and her husband Anthony of Chichester, NH, Lisa Giargiari and her husband Michael of Ashland, and son-in-law Mark Fahy, nine grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Grace, Christopher, Adam, James, Shawn, Matthew, and Laura, 18 great-grandchildren, one sister, Norma Intinarelli and her husband James of Hopkinton, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother to the late Lynne Fahy, grandmother to the late Jordan Pimentel, and sister to the late Paul Ceccaroni and Frank Ceccaroni.

Josephine will be remembered by her family for her passata soup, anise cookies, always cooking or feeding family and friends, and her love of the Red Sox, the Patriots, pizza and Uhlman’s orange pineapple ice cream, and her biggest joy was time spent with family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday Aug. 25th at 11:00am in St. Cecilia’s Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. There are no visiting hours.
