Joseph V. Porcello of Ashland, MA passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Marie (Simonetta) Porcello. He was the son of the late Josephine (Postizzi) and James Porcello. He is survived by his two daughters, Nancy and Andrew Ganas of Stuart, Florida and Cynthia and Kenneth Johnson of Chelmsford, MA as well as 5 grandchildren, Alexandra Ganas, Melyssa Ganas, Laura Johnson, Abigail Johnson and Gregory Johnson. He is also survived by a sister Catherine Leporati and her husband Robert and a brother George Porcello and his wife Ann and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother Charles Porcello.

He was a Framingham High School graduate, Korean War Veteran and retired telephone worker.

A funeral service will be held Wed. Feb. 6 ^th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham.  One calling hour will be held Wed. 9:30-10:30am at the funeral home prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be sent to the charity of your choice.
