Joseph J. Correa, Jr. 68, of Ashland passed away Wednesday Nov 18th after a
period of declining health. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late
Joseph and Ardelle (Bailey) Correa and husband to Jacquelyn (Smith) Correa.
They were married 44 years. A longtime resident of Ashland, Mr. Correa
was an employee of Perini Construction Co. in Framingham for many years, as
well as S & F Concrete of Hudson MA working as a civil engineer and
estimator retiring in 2010. Joe was a graduate of Hudson High and was a
member of the band. He was a frequent volunteer at the Fatima Shrine in
Holliston and active with the Salvation Army in Framingham.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Mathew Correa
and his wife Kate of Hopedale, and Brad Correa and his wife Keri; two
grandchildren; Tyler and Lilly; one brother, Michael Correa and his wife
Barbara of Berlin, MA; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family
and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday November 21st at 10:00am in the
Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to
follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held
Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations
may be made to the High Hopes Fund, Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place,
