Jose Helene Muri, 60, of Ashland passed away Sun. Feb. 17 ^th after a battle with cancer. Born in the Netherlands, she was the daughter of Helene (Luider) deRuiter and the late Albert deRuiter and wife of Robert F. Muri. Jose worked as an administrator at Pilgrim Church in Sherborn since 2005 as well as the Supervisor of Food and Beverage Dept. at the Warren Conference Center in Ashland. She was an active member of Faith Community Church in Hopkinton and enjoyed playing golf in the woman's league at Pinecrest CC in Holliston.

In addition to her husband and mother; she is survived by three daughters; Danielle MacGray and her husband Logan of Coatesville, PA; Lyndsy Weeks and her husband Antuan of Trenton, NJ; and Emily Muri of Ashland; four grandchildren; Judah and Lydia MacGray, and Esther and Adalyn Weeks, one sister, Renee Popek of Marlboro, MA, and one brother, Nicholas deRuiter of Bernardston, MA.

A memorial service will be held Sat. Feb. 23 ^rd at 11:00am in Faith Community Church, 146 East Main St. Hopkinton, MA. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family's gofundme page at https://www.gofundme.com/josemuri . Any donations exceeding the cost of medical and funeral expenses will be donated to Jose's home church, Faith Community Church in her name.
