John William "Jack" Curtin, 52, of Ashland, passed away peacefully after a long illness Monday, Aug. 29th at his home in Ashland. Born in Waltham, he was the son of Donald J. and the late Annmarie (McDonnell) Curtin. Jack was a graduate of Waltham High School Class of 1978, and worked as an environmental services manager. In addition to his father, Mr. Curtin is survived by his former wife, Edwina "Wendy" Curtin; daughter, Jennifer Ann Curtin; brothers, Michael Curtin and his wife Tina of California; Donald Curtin of Hubbardston, MA; sisters, Donna Perkins and her husband Richard of Hubbardston, MA; Annmarie Petersen and her husband David of Westford, MA; Sandra DeAcetis and her husband Anthony of Hubbardston, MA; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was the father of the late John Joseph Curtin who died in 2008. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 2nd at 9:00AM in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
