John Paul Toohil Jr, 64, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Jan. 16th at the Stanford University Hospital in Stanford, CA. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late John P. and Edna (Nelson) Toohil, and husband to Dianna (Gerhold) Toohil for 33 years. A resident of Ashland for 35 years, Mr. Toohil worked as a project engineer in the water and waste water treatment industry. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Erin Colleen O'Hara and her husband Scott of Leominster; and Katie Anne Toohil and her boyfriend Jason Roach of Dallas, TX; granddaughter; Kiley Anne O'Hara; brother; Robert Toohil and his fiancé Marci Allain of Rutland; two sisters; Kathleen Joanis and her husband Ronald of Clinton, CT; and Elizabeth Reynolds and her late husband Carl of Lincoln; mother and father-in-law; Joan and Ben Gerhold of North Ft. Meyers, FL; brother-in-law, Ronald Gerhold and his wife Colleen of Emerson, NJ; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 11:15am in St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St. in Framingham. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
