John Dugan Sheedy, 88, of Ashland, passed away, Friday, Nov. 5th at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in East Millinocket, Maine; he was the son of the late John D. and Margaret (Cowan) Sheedy. He was the husband of Pauline (Mackin) Sheedy for over 66 years. Mr. Sheedy was a graduate of the Waltham Watch School and worked as a watch maker and repairman for Pendleton Jewelers in Natick and Sears & Roebuck Co. A resident of Ashland for 50 years, he was a member of the Odd Fellows Club and Knights of Columbus in Ashland. John served his country honorably with the Navy during WWII. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter Patricia Supple and her husband William Conti of Sudbury, and two granddaughters, Brianna and Bailee Supple-Conti. He was the father of the late Nancy Sheedy of Ashland. He also leaves behind many neices and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 10th at 11:00am in St. Matthew's Church in Southborough with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. One calling hour will be held Wednesday from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
