John R. Franchi, 82 of Warren, RI, formerly of Framingham, passed away peacefully Tue Aug. 26th after a period of declining health.  Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Armando and Lillian (Dunn) Franchi.  John worked in the field of computer networking as a programmer.  He was a talented artist who enjoyed sculpting and photography.  John served his country Honorably in the US Navy from 1967-68.

He is survived by one son, John E. Franchi of Providence, RI, his former wife, Margaret Santoro, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Sat. Sept. 13th at 10:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with urn burial to follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Framingham.  There are no visiting hours.
